A Vessel of Grace | Salem Summit Breakfast Interview with Pastor Chuck Swindoll
This year at NRB 2025, we had the blessing of gathering at the Salem Summit Breakfast where Pastor Chuck Swindoll received the second annual Stuart Epperson Award for Excellence in Christian Media—recognition of his decades-long impact on faith communities worldwide.
Roger Kemp sat with Pastor Chuck and Chris Gould for a conversation that revealed God's guiding hand through one man's journey as husband, father, and pastor. Chuck's stories offered glimpses of Providence directing his path from early radio ministry to Insight for Living's global reach today.
At 90, Chuck's trademark humor and biblical wisdom remain as sharp as ever. Asked about his longevity in ministry, he answered with two simple words that encapsulate a life dependent on the Lord rather than himself: "God's grace."
These moments remind us why we serve and the impact of sharing God's message together. Chuck's example challenges us to maintain integrity, speak truth with grace, and remember that God uses ordinary people for extraordinary purposes.
Behind every microphone and screen lies an opportunity for the Gospel to be proclaimed, just as it has through Chuck Swindoll's faithful service throughout the years.
