John macarthur
John MacArthur (1939–2025) served as pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California — a ministry of more than 55 years. He was the founder of Grace to You, which began broadcasting in 1977 and grew into a globally recognized Bible teaching program. A prolific author of more than 150 books, MacArthur is perhaps best known for The MacArthur Study Bible, a Gold Medallion Award winner that has sold more than one million copies, and the completion of his 42-volume MacArthur New Testament Commentary series. He also served as chancellor of The Master's University and The Master's Seminary in Santa Clarita, California. Recognized by Christianity Today as one of the most influential Christian preachers of his era, MacArthur was known for his unwavering commitment to expository preaching and the careful, verse-by-verse teaching of Scripture.
