About the Position

The Digital Marketing Coordinator serves Christian non-profit ministries by overseeing a segment of their external digital communications, primarily through managing their social media platforms. Across content creation, strategy, and community management, this position will require the candidate to utilize creative and analytical skills simultaneously to manage multiple social platforms in partnership with several ministries. The candidate will need to learn and understand the unique mission, strategy, and organizational challenges for multiple ministries to ensure they are served with excellence.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Content Creation – Design graphics, edits reels and write copy for a variety of social media content, adhering to ministry-specific brand guidelines

  • Ensure content is tailored to a given platform so that the unique mission and goals for each is achieved

  • Maintain a content posting calendar according to the outlined strategy for each ministry and platform

  • Through client calls and interaction, assist in developing a ministry’s strategy for each platform, taking the ministry’s overall goals and translating them to guiding philosophies and specific initiatives

  • Plan and execute paid social media ad campaigns as needed to promote new resources, events, or ministry initiatives

  • Foster engagement with followers in a lively and healthy community across each platform through comment moderation and timely responses to direct messages

  • Utilize analytical tools to gather insights that can fuel follower growth, engagement or new strategies

  • Measure and track key performance indicators that contribute to the success of a given platform or campaign and adjust as needed to achieve the desired outcome or growth

  • Provide internal marketing support by managing RK Media’s website and social accounts

 

Qualifications

Abilities Required:

  • Exhibit excellent communication and analytical skills, able to think strategically and creatively

  • Have a keen eye for design with proven graphic design skills and experience

  • Have a deep knowledge of social platforms (primarily Facebook, Instagram and X) and an ability to stay on top of the current social media trends and best practices

  • Employ a collaborative mindset and approach to work

  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong time management skills

  • Proficient on Mac

  • Proficient in Google Docs and Sheets, Canva or equivalent design software

  • General understanding of Christian denominational and theological differences

  • Empathy for the mission of non-profit ministries to facilitate client goals

Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Communications, Marketing or Media preferred

  • Two or more years of equivalent work experience in social media management or graphic design preferred
