Dr. James Dobson’s Family Talk is a 26-minute daily and weekend radio program produced by the nonprofit Dr. James Dobson Family Institute, complemented by the daily Dr. Dobson Minute, a 1-minute feature delivering brief, devotional-style encouragements. Heard on over 1,300 radio outlets nationwide, Dr. Dobson’s teaching equips listeners with biblical principles that strengthen marriages, nurture families, and guide child development, all while sharing the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The program also champions the sanctity of human life and calls believers to live out their faith boldly in today’s shifting cultural landscape.

Dr. James Dobson was the Founder Chairman of the James Dobson Family Institute, a nonprofit organization that produces his radio program, Dr. James Dobson's Family Talk. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and held 18 honorary doctoral degrees, was the author of more than 70 books dedicated to the preservation of the family, and advised five U.S. presidents, serving on eight national commissions.

Dr. Dobson was married to Shirley for just shy of 65 years, and he was the beloved father of two grown children, Danae and Ryan, and two grandchildren.
