Heard on over 1,300 radio outlets nationwide, Dr. Dobson’s teaching equips listeners with biblical principles that strengthen marriages, nurture families, and guide child development, all while sharing the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The program also champions the sanctity of human life and calls believers to live out their faith boldly in today’s shifting cultural landscape.

Dr. James Dobson
Dr. James Dobson, founder of Family Talk, is a respected author of over 30 books dedicated to family, parenting, and faith, including Bringing Up Boys and The New Dare to Discipline. With a Ph.D. in child development from the University of Southern California, he spent years teaching and serving at USC’s School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Dr. Dobson has advised five U.S. presidents on family matters, holds 17 honorary doctoral degrees, and was inducted into The National Radio Hall of Fame. He and his wife, Shirley, live in Colorado Springs and have two grown children and two grandchildren.
