"Loneliness" - Pastor Steve DeWitt's New Book

We’ll just say it: loneliness is not something we brag about or think is “cool” in our culture. Instead, people post pictures of family and friends, concerts and events - not “here’s another shot of my dinner-for-one, a meal that I ate by myself for the 17th night in a row this month …” It’s just not something we naturally celebrate.

But Pastor Steve DeWitt does not shy away from this topic, not when it’s a part of life that all of us experience at one time or another … and not when loneliness is at an all-time high in the USA right now. Loneliness is also largely misunderstood and even stigmatic in some Christian circles - which gives us all the more reason to talk about it with a biblical perspective. Thank you, Pastor Steve!

Pastor Steve himself had a long season of singleness that, praise the Lord, ended 11 years ago when he married his wife; but before that happy day, that singleness season was marked by loneliness. However, God used it to for his good and God’s glory. How comforting it is to know that experiencing loneliness does not make you a bad Christian, and God will even use it for your good. Not even our loneliness goes to waste when we walk with the Lord. Amen!

You can learn how God guides and grows us through the experience of loneliness in Pastor Steve DeWitt’s new book, “Loneliness,” available now at the link below.
