As senior pastor of Bethel Church in Northwest Indiana, his passion for expository preaching, the doctrines of grace, and the beauty of God shines through each message. A council member of The Gospel Coalition and board member of Global Action, Steve is also the author of Eyes Wide Open, Enjoying God in Everything, and Loneliness, all aimed at helping believers deepen their walk with Christ.

Pastor Steve DeWitt
Pastor Steve DeWitt has served as the senior pastor of Bethel Church since 1997, where he leads through expository preaching, shepherding the congregation, guiding staff, and casting vision for the church’s mission. Passionate about the doctrines of grace, cultural engagement, and the beauty of God, Steve also serves on the board of Global Action and is a council member of The Gospel Coalition. Steve is the author of Eyes Wide Open and Enjoying God in Everything, and frequently speaks at events beyond Bethel. A graduate of Cornerstone University and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, he enjoys reading, travel, sports, and cheering on the University of Iowa. Married to Jennifer since 2012, they live in Crown Point with their two daughters, Kiralee and Madeline.
